I am Emily Winesberry and I am a Marriage & Family Therapist licensed in Kansas and California. I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and a Bachelor of Science in Women’s Studies which helps me as a therapist. I wanted to help people and thought counseling would be a bridge between my passions of expressing creativity and championing social justice.
I completed a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at California Institute of Integral Studies within the lens of Expressive Arts Therapy. I have had the opportunity to work with children and teens in a school setting and young adults, adults, and elders. Regardless of the setting I have witnessed people as they create their paths towards healing.
As a therapist I believe in the importance of reflecting the client's own resilience to encourage their belief in their ability to recover, nurture wellness, and heal.

Telehealth
I offer in person therapy sessions and telehealth therapy;
either by video sessions or phone calls.
Telehealth is not the right fit for everyone, and
we can chat to see if this format will work for you

Payment & Fees
I offer a reduced fees scale for therapy session payments from $100.00 to $200.00. I accept Visa, Mastercard, HSA, check, and cash. The payment site I use is Ivy Pay. A Good Faith Estimate of fees for clients is available, and you can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a therapy session. I can offer super bills for insurance if applicable to your insurance provider.
I accept therapy vouchers from organizations that offer support to clients with their therapy fees. For therapy vouchers please check with the organization for information on participation considerations and any application process.
For State of California residents, I currently do not accept insurance.
